How long is the MAT?
The MAT lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes and is sat under timed conditions.
How many papers are on the TMUA?
There are two papers for the TMUA which are taken consecutively.
Are calculators allowed for the TMUA?
Calculators are not allowed in the TMUA.
Paper 1 is called ‘Applications of Mathematical Knowledge’ and focuses on assessing your ability to apply your mathematics knowledge to new situations. It consists of 20 multiple choice questions and is 75 minutes long.
Paper 2 is called ‘Mathematical Reasoning’ and focuses on assessing your ability to deal with mathematical reasoning annd devlop ideas through logic. It consists of 20 multiple choice questions and is 75 minutes long.
