How many sections are on the LNAT?
There are two sections on the LNAT. The standard LNAT test is 2 hours and 15 mins.
Section A consists of 42 multiple choice questions. You are given 95 minutes to answer Section A.
Section B requires answering one of three essay questions and you are given 40 minutes to answer Section B.
When do I take the LNAT? When do I register for the LNAT?
LNAT registration and LNAT booking for entry into university in September 2025 opens on 1 August 2024. LNAT testing starts on 1 September 2024.
Which universities require LNAT?
The LNAT must be taken to undergraduate law programmes at: University of Bristol, University of Cambridge, Durham University, Glasgow University, King’s College London, LSE, University of Oxford, SOAS and UCL.
